Are you interested in offering your time and talents to support the work being done at CHI Health?
With COVID-19 numbers trending, we have an opportunity to extend an arm of support to our clinical partner, CHI Health. At each of CHI’s campus locations, opportunities for volunteer as well as paid positions are available.
The two volunteer opportunities of greatest need are:
- Screener/Greeter - This individual is responsible for screening all patients/visitors/staff as they enter the facility. Additional responsibilities will be to provide directions and to welcome each person as they enter.
- Runner - This individual will be assigned to assist with the non-clinical tasks that support patient care. Some tasks include answering phones or call lights; delivering supplies to floors; delivering patient meals and cleaning rooms and common areas.
All volunteers will be provided appropriate PPE.

Volunteer Service Paid Time Off Program
These CHI volunteer opportunities would qualify under Creighton’s Volunteer Service Time Off Program. All full-time and part-time, benefit-eligible employees can use Volunteer Service Paid Time Off. The employee must be in good standing. Employment classifications excluded from this policy include medical (house staff), pharmacy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy residents/fellows, as well as temporary employees.
Employees need to submit requests in myHR.
