Global Health Conference Midwest

Agnes Igoye is the Deputy National Coordinator for the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons department in Uganda and the head of the Ugandan Immigration Training Academy. Forced to flee from the Lord’s Resistance Army when she was only 14 years old, Agnes has dedicated her life to the prevention of human trafficking. Some of her many accomplishments include founding the Dream Revival Center, a facility located in Uganda that provides comprehensive care, educational opportunities, and numerous other resources to victims of human trafficking; as well as the Chains for Hope initiative and Huts for Peace, which focus on rehabilitating children and helping rebuild homes in Uganda that were destroyed by the conflict with the LRA. She was the recipient of the 2016 Diane von Furstenberg International Award; a Fulbright Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at the University of Minnesota; and an alumnus of the Clinton Global Initiative. Join us for her keynote at the conference.
