St. Albert’s Day Save the Date

Creighton University will host its annual St. Albert’s Day/University Research Day celebration on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in the Harper Center Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

St. Albert’s Day is celebrated in honor of St. Albert Magnus, known as Albert the Great, who was a scientist, philosopher, and theologian, and served as a mentor to St. Thomas Aquinas. During his lifetime, he composed a veritable encyclopedia which contained scientific treatises on almost every subject. His life and writings emphasized the importance of experiment and investigation.

Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students are encouraged to submit an abstract for their research, present a poster, or give a platform presentation. All submissions are accepted. Presentations (both poster and platform) will be judged during the morning or afternoon session. Presenters are able to choose the session that best fits their schedules on their submission form.

New this year:

  • Reserve your spot prior to submitting your abstract (open Jan. 15)
  • Out of state students participate in the Zoom Room! (no need to travel to Omaha, just reserve your time slot!)
  • Have your poster displayed in a PowerPoint deck that will run all day!

If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Taunya Plater at tplater@creighton.edu or 402-280-2870.
