Piemonte Presents at Association of American Medical Colleges Annual Meeting

piemonteNicole Piemonte, PhD, assistant dean for medical education and assistant professor in the School of Medicine Department of Medical Education, presented “The Trials and Triumphs of Curriculum Revision: Integrating Ethics and Humanities in Medical Education,” at the Association of Bioethics Program Directors session during the Association of American Medical Colleges Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Nov. 8-12.

Piemonte discussed curriculum revision at the School of Medicine, in particular the emphasis on intentionally and meaningfully incorporating ethics and the humanities longitudinally throughout our students’ medical education.

More than 75 medical educators from all over the country were in attendance for Piemonte’s talk. “It was a really wonderful opportunity to share what Creighton is doing, and the attendees seemed excited about our innovation and commitment to the personal and professional development of our students,” said Piemonte.
