Chambers Named Assistant Dean of Admissions for Medicine’s Phoenix Campus

The School of Medicine is pleased to announce that Claudia Chambers, MD, has accepted the position of assistant dean of admissions for the School of Medicine at Creighton’s Phoenix campus. In this new role, Chambers will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment and admissions for our expansion of the School of Medicine in Phoenix.

Chambers currently serves as chair for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. She received her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in New York. She completed her residency training in OB-GYN at Boston University, a fellowship in Initiative for Teaching Excellence in Health Science at Creighton University School of Medicine and a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration at Baylor University.

Chambers’ expertise includes general obstetrics and gynecology with special interest in minimally invasive surgery, cervical disorders, adolescent care and reproductive health. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she is active in medical education. Chambers is board certified in OB-GYN and serves as a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists.

Chambers was one of the original clerkship directors (OB-GYN) for Creighton’s Phoenix campus. She is a great supporter of Creighton and our efforts to provide medical education in Omaha and Phoenix. Please join us in congratulating Chambers on her new role.
