McGaha Presents Panel Discussion

McgahaAmy McGaha, MD, director of the Interprofessional Clinical Learning Environment in the Center for Interprofessional Education, Practice and Research (CIPER), chair and professor in the Department of Family Medicine in the School of Medicine will present at Collaborating Across Borders (CAB) on Oct. 23 in the panel discussion, “The Interprofessional Elephant in the Room: What Aren’t We Talking About?”

McGaha joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2011 and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Interprofessional Car and Journal of Primary Care & Community Health. Her work focuses on medical student interest, workforce development and leadership development of residents and students. McGaha had previously been the assistant director of the Division of Medical Education at the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Commissions on Education and previously was a member of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Family Medicine Milestones Committee.
