Health Sciences Library Partners with the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition

Creighton’s Health Sciences Library partnered with the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition to translate consumer health materials for patients at their medical clinic in Lincoln. Kiara Comfort, the Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Health Sciences Library, worked to make patient education materials on the topic of diabetes available in Spanish, Arabic, and Kurdish. Translated materials will be submitted to MedlinePlus (MedlinePlus.gov), the consumer health database created by the National Library of Medicine, for reuse elsewhere.

Do you have a consumer health information need? Reach out to Kiara Comfort at KiaraComfort@creighton.edu to discuss your project.
