Strauss-Soukup Elected Vice Chair of the Undergraduate Research Programs Division of CUR

Julie Strauss Soukup

Juliane Strauss-Soukup, PhD, professor in the Department of Chemistry, has recently been elected to the position of Vice Chair of the Undergraduate Research Programs Division of CUR (Council on Undergraduate Research). Soukup has been an elected CUR Councilor since 2016. She officially took on the new Vice Chair role at the 2020 Annual Business meeting in June. In addition, Soukup was a co-presenter for two talks at the CUR Virtual Biennial Conference. The titles of her talks were “Recognizing Undergraduate Research Scholars via Transcript Notations” and “Developing Your Plan to Build URSCA (Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity) Mentoring into Faculty Workload, Tenure, Promotion, and Rewards”.
