The College of Nursing Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program in Phoenix was granted full approval from the Arizona State Board of Nursing. The three-step process, required review by the State Board at all levels. The first step, writing a proposal, addressed the need and quality of the proposed program. During the second step the College hosted an on-site visit to review the curriculum and program’s resources. Preliminary approval to recruit and to begin the program occurred in 2017. The final step could not be completed until the first class of students graduated in December, 2018 achieved a 100% first time past rate on the national licensing exam. The state board visited the College of Nursing’s newly remodeled space in Phoenix in September 2019 and granted full approval (with kudos) at the November 2019 state board meeting.
