Reiner Presents Panel Discussion

GSX 1Michael D. Reiner, Senior Director of Public Safety, presented at ASIS International’s Global Security Exchange in Chicago, on Sept. 11. ASIS International is the world’s largest association for security management professionals and is the globally recognized leader for education, networking, and information resources. Global Security Exchange brings together security professionals from across the private and public sectors, allied organizations and partners, and the industry’s leading solution providers for the most comprehensive security education and innovative technology in the world. Reiner spoke about his transition from the U.S. Air Force to Creighton University during a panel discussion titled, “Successful Transitions from the Public to Private Sector.”

Mike Reiner

Reiner transitioned to Creighton University in December 2016 after serving for nearly 26 years as an Air Force Security Forces officer, retiring as a colonel. During his career, Reiner commanded an air base group, three Security Forces squadrons, and a cadet squadron at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and deployed in support of Operations SUPPORT JUSTICE IV, IRAQI FREEDOM, and RESOLUTE SUPPORT. Reiner earned a bachelor’s degree in astronautical engineering and master’s degrees in criminal justice, strategic intelligence, and strategic studies. He holds the top certification for the security sector, the Certified Protection Professional. He serves as a member of the ASIS Military Liaison Council and Vice Chair of the ASIS Heartland Chapter.
