Woodley Named VP of Program for Southern Finance Association

Melissa Woodley smallMelissa Woodley, PhD, associate professor of finance in the Heider College of Business, was recently named Vice President of Program for the Southern Finance Association. Woodley was elected earlier this fall and the results of the election were formally announced at the SFA conference in November held in Asheville, NC. Woodley will be responsible for all papers accepted for the SFA’s upcoming 2019 conference in Orlando.

About the Southern Finance Association
The purpose of the Southern Finance Association is to foster the development of scientific and literary works in finance; to improve the teaching of finance: to enhance communication among people interested in finance who work in government, business, and academic institutions; and to undertake such other activities as may be appropriate for a non-profit association dedicated to finance scholarship. The Association provides the opportunity for communicating ideas and advances in finance by holding an annual meeting wherein papers are presented and discussed, and where in discussion groups, panels and other forums may be held.
