Cindy Murphy McMahon, associate director of communications in the University Communications and Marketing Office, received national recognition for her story “Is Democracy in Crisis?” which appeared in the fall 2017 issue of Creighton magazine. McMahon’s article was honored by the National Federation of Press Women in its 2018 Communications Contest. The article placed third in the news story category for magazines, newsletters and other non-newspaper print publications.
