Poverty Law Receives Seeds of Justice Award

The law school’s poverty law program (formerly known as the Heaney Family Service & Justice Law Program) received this year’s Seeds of Justice Award from Nebraska Appleseed on Oct. 11. Those in attendance receiving the award included Catherine Mahern, JD, associate professor of law and director of the legal clinic and externship program, Ann Mangiameli, JD’91, adjunct professor and poverty law instructor, Muirne Heaney, JD’83, of Legal Aid of Nebraska, and Katelyn Cherney, BA’08, JD, special assistant professor of law and poverty law program director.
