Physics, Dentistry Research on Abutment Polishing Methodology Published

College of Arts and Sciences students Nicholas Fischer BS’17 and honors student, and Jeffrey Wong, BS’18, under the supervision of associate professor of physics Andrew Baruth, teamed up with associate professor of oral biology, D. Roselyn Cerutis in the School of Dentistry, to investigate the effects of abutment polishing methodology. Their results were featured in a Special Issue for Dental Implant Materials in the journal Materials. The research collaboration was initiated through the Dr. George Haddix President’s Faculty Research Fund and was more recently funded by the Creighton University Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURAS) through their Faculty Development Fund (FRF) and the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program.
