Mack’s Comparative Criminal Procedure Published

SOL_mack_ranetaRaneta Lawson Mack, JD, professor of law, endowed professor of the Skinner Family Professorship in Law, is the author of Comparative Criminal Procedure: History, Processes and Case Studies, second edition, that has been published by Hein. The book takes a process-oriented approach that begins with police searches and continues through to the trial and appeals process so students can compare how various countries approach each of these stages in the criminal process. It starts with a historical overview of the adversarial and inquisitorial system of justice to allow students to understand the foundation of each system before moving to a discussion of their differences. It also contains case studies that allow students to study the concepts learned in the chapter from a real-world perspective and enhance their learning in a way that descriptive text may not.
