Klontz Publishes Column in Journal of Financial Planning

Bradley Klontz, Psy.D., CFP®, associate professor of practice in financial psychology, has been featured in the October 2017 issue of the Journal of Financial Planning. In his column entitled “Why we hate rich people”, Klontz identifies three psychological constructs that help explain the feelings of resentment commonly felt toward wealthier individuals:
(1) money ambivalence and cognitive dissonance;
(2) the psychology of envy;
(3) the theory of relative deprivation.
