Morse Co-Chairs Meeting of Non-U.S. Cyber Regulations Task Force

Ed MOrseEdward Morse, JD, professor of law, chaired a meeting of the Non-U.S. Cyber Regulations Task Force, along with co-chair David Flint of MacRoberts, LLP, Glasgow, Scotland, at the American Bar Association (ABA) business law section’s fall meeting last week in Chicago. The task force was formed to address the impact of regulatory actions outside the U.S. that may affect international or cross-border businesses. Such topics have taken on greater significance given the international scope of legal work by lawyers and law firms that are members of the business law section and the growing influence of the internet and related electronic environs in a global economy. The task force is part of the ABA’s Cyberspace Law Committee, of which Morse has had various leadership positions over the past several years. He is currently the committee’s program director, which is responsible for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programming and substantive meeting content.
