- The College of Nursing held its Pinning and Hooding ceremony on August 11. Fifty undergrad students received their nursing pins and one Doctor of Nursing Practice student was hooded. Faculty Teaching Excellence Award recipients were Kandis McCafferty, PhD, RN, and Kat Hirsh, MSN, RN.
- Lori Rubarth, PhD, APRN, NNP-BC, associate faculty and NNP specialty track coordinator, was selected as a podium presenter at the National Neonatal Nurses Conference September 14-16, 2017 in Las Vegas.
