Area students prepare for papal address; participate in fundraisers and food drives

More than 500 students from eight Omaha-area Catholic high schools will descend on Creighton University on Sept. 24 to watch a livestream of Pope Francis as he becomes the first pope to address the U.S. Congress. After watching the pope’s address to a joint session of Congress around 8:30 a.m., the students take part in a question-and-answer session with U.S. Rep. Brad Ashford.
